11 182 people prayed for
This morning the "1 million prayers"-prayerwalk had its first milestone ... I just passed the 10 000 mark.
It started out as such a daunting ... unreachable goal, but now I have hope ... Just keep at it and keep on praying for precious people - ONE by ONE and I will get there. It will add up to 1 million en the end.
Last week this prayerwalk added a dimension to my spiritual life which I thank God for. I experienced quite a number of moments where God reminded me of specific things in my own life - and I realised it was pointing to things that I did and never repented of. Unrepented sins. Aghhhh it feels so good to finally have spoken to the Lord about those things and knowing He is a loving and forgiving God. And to be able to look Him in the eyes without any feelings of guilt.
Nehemiah 9:17 (New International Version)
... But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love ...
Now a valuable lesson that I learned today while on a prayerwalk:
Sometimes people like to have their names on their car registration plates. As I prayed for those unknown people in their cars, there would be the occasional registration number with a name on it ... then I pray for that person by name!
Some small companies have the name of the owner signwritten on the sides - then I pray for that person by name, and also sometimes I feel led to pray for that company.
This is an opportunity when you next sit in traffic ... See if there is someone whom you don't know, who you can pray for by name!
I don't really care much if I am right or wrongabout the name ... God looks onto the heart.
The official statistics page for the "one-in-a-million prayerwalk" is at Adwalks Stats
